Ok so mornings…ugh, they can be the worst or the best, depends on the day I guess. Some ppl wake up like superheroes, some ppl like me just hit snooze 5 times and still end up late, confused, sleepy. But if you want a morning that actually works for you, you need a routine, not some fancy stuff, just some little habits that make you feel alive not dead lol.
Wake up kinda same time
First thing first, wake up at roughly the same time everyday, i know weekends are a problem, like you sleep in then monday morning you hate life, I know that feeling. Even 30 min earlier than usual helps, trust me your brain will like it, your body too maybe.
Don’t grab your phone immediately
Ok this one is hard, really hard, everyone checks their phone first thing but honestly it kills your vibe. Emails, whatsapp, social media, all that stress before even your coffee. Try to leave phone aside, at least 20 min, drink water, stretch, maybe stare outside the window idk, just dont pick it immediately.
Drink water and eat something
Water is life, I always forget it but morning water is magic, helps wake up your body. Some ppl add lemon, ginger whatever, me plain water is fine. Breakfast is important, even if it’s just oats, eggs, toast, anything, just dont skip it. Skipping breakfast is bad, I learned the hard way lol, makes you hungry and distracted for hours.
Move your body
No need full gym, 5 min stretch, walk around, yoga, jog whatever, just wake up muscles. Blood flows, brain works better, and you feel alive instead of zombie. I sometimes skip this and regret, really.
Plan your day fast
Spend few minutes thinking what you want to do today, 3 things max, not 10, you will overwhelm yourself. Write in notebook, phone, sticky note, anything. Helps focus, dont just wake up and react to chaos.
Hygiene
Shower, brush teeth, skincare, all that, sounds obvious but I know ppl skip sometimes. Feeling clean helps brain work better, plus you wont smell bad.
Something fun
Make it enjoyable too, read small blog, listen music, meditate, coffee, journal, whatever makes you happy. Mornings should not feel punishment, then you will hate it.
Don’t multitask too much
I know everyone says do 10 things at once, but dont. One thing at a time. Focus. Even small things done properly better than 10 things half done.
Review and adjust
Routine wont work perfect at start, some things too long, some not helping. After few days tweak it. Remove what dont work, keep what works. Your routine should be yours, dont copy Instagram ppl thinking it will magically work.
Keep simple
Dont try wake at 4 am, gym 1 hr, meditate 30 min, cook breakfast, read, email…no. Start small. Even 2 things consistent is better than 10 failing every day.
